Bay Fm Presenter - Chris Tees
is going to present a radio show non-stop for 48hrs to help raise funds for the
station's launch later this year. The show will start from midnight on 27th
October until midnight Sunday 29thOctober.
Chris said "I'm really keen to
raise funds for the station, I know the benefits this station will bring to the
communities when it launches full-time so, I want to do my bit"
Bay FM is a not-for-profit
community radio station run by volunteers, and was awarded a full-time licence
from Ofcom in April this year. The station plans to be on air 24/7/365 serving
Exmouth, Budleigh Salterton & surrounding areas.
Station manager Andy Green said "This
isn't going to be easy. I did 48 hrs in 1985 with a friend to raise money for
Children in need. It was hard enough
with two of us, I admire his dedication".
