Devon and Cornwall Police lose 0845 Low Premium Rate Number

This is due to change in September 2011. It will be a simple one rate call for mobile or fixed lines. That is 15 pence per call, however short or long that call lasts. This for non-emergency matters. 999 and 112 (no charge) remain for emergencies.

The number is 101 - this started at 10 pence a call when it was first envisaged. I hope that it does not creep up.

This is a public service and should be open and accessible to all at the lowest possible cost.
