Exmouth runner comes second in Bideford Half Marathon women's race

A RUNNER from Exmouth Harriers has come second in the women's race of this year's Bideford Half Marathon...

The event was held in Bideford on Sunday 3 March. The women's race was won by Helen Dyke from Poole Runners (1 hr 25mins 5secs), followed by Catherine Newman of Exmouth Harriers (1 hr 25mins 52secs).
Jim Cole of Tavistock AC won the men's event with a time of 1hr 8mins 56secs. He beat reigning champion and local runner Shaun Antell (Bideford AAC) by just ten seconds.
More than 1,000 runners took part in the annual event, organised by Bideford AAC.
