Great to visit at any time during the year, Bicton Park's Botanical Gardens are well laid out and extremely beautiful. I particularly like to visit during the spring when the bulbs are out, and everything is feeling fresh and vibrant. And no visit is complete without a 25-minute ride on the narrow-gauge Woodland Railway, which gently meanders its way around the 63-acre park. It's the easiest - and finest - way to see everything that's here. The cafeteria and the shop are OK, and I have always found the staff to be helpful and pleasant. They were especially helpful when we requested a wheelchair for an elderly relative. All in all, Bicton Park is a must if you're looking for a lovely day out near to Exmouth.
