Paying for gold post boxes.
So let me see if I get this right. The price of posting a letter has gone up because the Royal Mail need the money, yet they can afford to paint post boxes gold and then back to red again after. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY. And if the Olympics are footing the bill then even worse as yet again WE are paying.
I am sure those being made redundant or those that can't afford to heat their homes will be well happy with the SENSIBLE investment. And they were talking about subsidising mail for not so well off families, maybe the money could have been spent on that rather than gold paint. I bet the contract for that was equally way over the top.
What a Mickey Mouse country we now live in. I'm just glad we wont get many golds and so should all other normal working people, unless you are prepared to pay out of your own pockets.
