Thank you for your support

I would personally like to thank everyone who contributed and supported my campaign as the UKIP candidate for East Devon. UKIP support in the constituency was up more than 40% on the 2005 election. It was one of the strongest UKIP performances in the Country and I am very proud that so many people backed our campaign.

The breakthrough has already been made in the Euro elections with 2 MEPs in the SW region and 12 MEPs nationally. It is likely we will have another General Election within 18 months and this may well be run under some form of PR. Residents of East Devon can be assured as a local person, I will once again be proud to represent them as the UKIP candidate. Under a new voting system I know many more will have the confidence to vote for what they believe, without fear of a "wasted" vote, not that I concur a vote for UKIP is ever wasted, the only wasted votes are those not cast!

UKIP polled 4346 votes in East Devon the highest UKIP vote in the UK bar Nigel Farage in Buckingham. UKIP in East Devon had 8.2% share of the vote up 2.6% from 2005. UKIP East Devon vote was up 43% on that polled in 2005. UKIP is here to stay.

Whoever holds the reins of power in a minority Government we know that our taxes will go up and our services will be cut. Despite this they still plan to send a net 6-9 billion pounds of British taxpayers money to Brussels annually. UKIP will continue to keep this issue in the public domain and will continue to offer the people of Britain the chance to vote against this waste of British taxpayers money. Minority or coalition Governments are unlikely to run a full 5 year term. UKIP will be there to represent people who believe that we need to put the interests of Britain before the interests of the bureaucrats of Brussels

Once again many thanks to all those that directly worked tirelessly to help me achieve this tremendous result and thank you to all 4346 of the electorate that believed and wished to voice their opinion. I know there are many more voters out there that are teetering on the edge and I urge you to join our ranks, you have seen the results, we can do so much more with you, do not fear, but believe.
