Are there any public Halloween parties in Exmouth? The closest one I can find is a Halloween trail at Castle Drogo, and the Pumpkin Festival at Powderham. I wondered if any pubs have Halloween parties?

Not really a halloween party in Exmouth but at The Big Sheep, near Bideford, they're having Fun by Day activities such as pumpkin carving workshops, face painting and ghost train - oh, and a witches flying school. By night, there are some 'Scary By Night' parties 6.30pm - 10pm - Haunted House, Lantern parade, fancy dress, Phoenix Disco.

But I'm sorry, I don't know of any events in Exmouth... this isn't too far away though. Is World of Country Living doing anything?

Bay Fm are hosting a Halloween Party at The Saddlers Arms, Lympstone on Saturday 30th October. £5 for adults including a free Halloween Cocktail. 7.30pm start. Ah fantastic! Thank you! Sounds great fun! So it's down in to town now to hire my fancy dress costume - just seen the story on where to get fancy dress. I recommend the one on Exeter Road. They're friendlier in there!!!

I was walking past the Fancy Dress shop on Exeter Road today and was stopped in my tracks by their Halloween window display. I suppose it had the desired effect, and I don't say it wouldn't be a good place to get Halloween fancy dress, but I didn't really want to see the severed limbs, plates of food made from various body parts, blood dripping everywhere and ghoulish faces! I don't know what little people would make of it. Yuk
