Cycle West – Velo Vintage

Velo Vintage, sponsored by Cycle West, is a new-style of cycle event for Devon. The organizers say that the 11-mile heritage ride will be at a "leisurely pace along mainly traffic-free routes, with a break for refreshments half-way, and then a cream tea at the end".

The event will start and finish at Exmouth's Strand on Sunday 9 September. Registration is expected to be at 10am, with the ride setting off about an hour later. All times are approximate.

It's hoped that the event will attract new cyclists as well as those interested in vintage bikes. The organizers say that there is limited space for about 120 cyclists, so if you are interested in entering, you are advised to contact them as soon as you can. You don't have to use a vintage bicycle for the event, but all riders are encouraged to dress in a vintage style (1920's-1980's).
