Traders in Budleigh Salterton are showing their support by donating prizes and supplies towards the Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton Fundraising Guild's annual coffee morning. The event is to be held on Saturday 24 November in the Public Hall from 10am to 12 noon.
Sponsored by Palmer Whitton & Laing, this year there will be an entry fee of 50p which includes a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit. There will be various stalls within the hall selling Christmas cards, calendars and presents. During the morning, there will be a prize draw with prizes donated by local retailers. Budleigh Salterton temporary co-ordinator, Brian Cole wishes to thank the following businesses for their support:
H. Carter & Sons, High Street Fruit & Veg, Staddons Garage, Card Shop Too, Budleigh Wines, Bicton Park Botanical Gardens, S.M.Prior & Son, Lloyds Pharmacy and the World of Country Life.
All funds raised from the event will contribute towards the cost of the new Supacat tractor and trailer launching equipment for the new Shannon-class lifeboat, due at Exmouth RNLI at the end of 2013. Mr Cole says:
'Our next event will be a family carol concert at Tower Methodist Church, Exmouth on Saturday 15 December at 5pm. Please make a note of this in your diaries as it will be an opportunity for all the RNLI family, friends and supporters to join together for a celebration. We hope to see you there.'
