No Internet or Nearly No Internet?

In May, from less than a pound a day with no telephone
line required you can have10Mbps downstream 4 Mbps upstream via satellite. What
the download limits are and the pricing steps have yet to be announced.
The downside may be the set-up costs which may be high. If
you live in Wales, the Government will cover this cost up to a £1000 per installation
with 3 months Broadband free.
But for a business solution or perhaps someone where
expense is not a real issue (such as an MP) or just plain rich. This must be
worth taking a look at in rural locations.
The service is called tooway and may be toomuch for many.
But take away telephone line rental from the price it could be worth a look,
particularly for those in Wales.
This service is available all over the UK so while the
Government tread water and look to provide a minimum of 2 Mbps for all by 2015.
Broadband Delivery UK can go back to having very long lunches while wearing out
the seat of their trousers.
Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK) are busying themselves with
4 pilot rural areas to receive superfast broadband, nothing in the South West
of course. How silly to think Devon may be part of the UK and worthy of a pilot.
Another failure by the bureaucrats of this region.
If you are on Facebook, please give a Like to Broadband
Non-Delivery UK (BNDUK). Remind this Government that Devon exists.
