Exmouth could see one of its young entrenpreneurs facing Sir Alan Sugar one day, thanks to Exmouth Businesswoman Lorraine Fernandes.

Founder of Exmouth-based sales consultancy and sales coaching company Higher Associates, she snapped up the opportunity to work on new ventre YESS (Young Entrepreneurs' Support Solution), and is running workshops at Exeter College.

Lorraine, 29, set up her own business in 2008. She says: "The YESS Project offers an invaluable service to young people in the area. The UK economy is largely made up of small businesses run by innnovative individuals. What the YESS Project has to offer budding entrepreneurs here in Devon will enable them to gain the skills necessary to go out in to the marketplace and build their own successful businesses."

Lorraine also took one student on over the summer on work experience and now acts as a Business Mentor for those involved in the YESS Project. She recommends others think seriously about doing the same.

"It's nice to think that I can be among those who can help, motivate, and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs. Who knows? One of them could be the next Bill Gates or Richard Branson."

If you are interested in exploring your entrepreneurial skills or you want to help to develop them in young people, find out more by dropping in to see the YESS team at Victoria House, Exeter College, on Tuesdays or Wednesdays or call 01392 205604.
