Exmouth has so many hair salons to choose from, it's easy to miss the ones that are working extra hard to get your business!
Vogue magazine highlights Harry Potter star and Burberry model's Emma Watson as an icon for this season's hair trend: chopping off the locks to create an extremely short, pretty pixie haircut. She twittered her fans saying, "I love it. I've wanted to do this for years and years: it's the most liberating thing ever." Hairstylist George Northwood, who styles Emma Watson's hair, told Vogue: "If you want to try the style, tie your hair back as tight as you can and see what you think of your ears. So many girls have never really seen their ears because they always have their hair covering them, so I'd say do that first. Maybe take some pictures from the side, of the profile, too. Ask yourself, 'do I like myself and my ears without hair.' But if you want to keep your locks, Vogue also identifies 'Tomboy partings' as a new statement look.
Not all salons in Exmouth offer loyalty schemes or promotions, so it's worth checking out what's on offer and who's going to go the extra mile to secure your business! They're open late three nights a week (Wednesday to Friday), until 8pm, and they offer a loyalty card: ten visits gives you 50% your next appointment. Mico's also offer a loyalty scheme - 10 visits gives you a £10 discount, and they also offer late night appointments on Wednesdays and Fridays, until 7pm.
Peppers Hair & Beauty promise "The look you want, they stylist you want, whenever you want. Manager Harriet says: "We want you to look and feel great at a time that's convenient to you, which is why we'll ask you to book your next appointment during each visit. If we don't, your next appointment will be on us! Prices are based on the stylist's training experience and we offer a 25% discount for children under 12 Monday to Wednesday." Peppers is a Regis salon and offers a loyalty scheme that involves £10 off colour technique treatments - even for your friends!
Some of Exmouth's salons have been in business for the long haul, some for 30 years such as Hairport and Adrian's Hair Salon. Adrian Taylor, owner of Adrian's, is an established business and he has just returned to the salon himself after taking nine months off due to ill health and is hoping clients will return to see him. They are open Tuesdays to Saturdays 9am - 6pm, but only till 1pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Adrian says: "We're very established and so we don't really have any loyalty schemes or offers. Our clients are mostly ladies, mostly over 35, and we don't have juniors working here - which suits some people better than others. We're not a training salon anymore."
