THE EXMOUTH FESTIVAL 2011 is go! The full programme of events for the nine-day extravaganza (Thursday 26 May–Friday 3 June) is now out. And for the first time Exmouth People is carrying full festival listings (see Events). The programme is also available at the Exmouth Festival website, as printed brochures at venues throughout the town and as pull-outs in the local press.

Exmouth Festival 2011: bigger, better and more community-focused than ever
So what are the main differences between the 2011 festival and previous years' events? This year's festival will be bigger, better and more community-focused, according to Chris Woods, Exmouth Arts Manager. And he says that that's been extremely difficult in today's current financial climate.
That's where you can help by attending as many festival events as possible during the nine days and donating as much as you can into the festival buckets at each event. Pennies will be helpful, but a few pounds here and there will really count.
Another change this year is that the Exmouth Festival dovetails neatly into the Rotary Club Kite Festival with a joint Finale Concert on Friday 3 June. That's been possible because both festival organisers have liaised effectively and the Finale Concert has a local community flavour to it.
All in all, it's set to be a cracker. And don't forget that there will be full Festival coverage on Bay FM, Exmouth's local community radio station on 107.9FM.
You can read more about this year's Exmouth Festival in our series of exclusive interviews with Chris Woods, Exmouth Arts Manager.
See you at the Festival!
Comments
The Exmouth Festival is like no other. I just love the vibe in and around the town during the nine days of Music, Arts and Culture. If you have never experienced Exmouth during the festival then give it a try. It is totally free and there is so much going on for each and everyone of us. Good Luck and Best Wishes Chris Woods and the hard working team. Let's make this the best yet.
