Hi, I saw the article about all the changes being made to Exmouth Amateurs, but don't forget the town's main team - Exmouth Town FC! At the end of July their manager Jody Bolt resigned and they were left looking for a new boss.

They have a 1st and 2nd team playing in different league divisions and the women's team who play in the Westward Devon Women's Premier League.

Exmouth Town plays in the Division 1 East of the South West Peninsula league. Up and coming games at home are:

Saturday 21st August v Newton Abbot Spurs, 3pm

Saturday 28th August v Liverton United, 3pm

Tuesday 7th September v Alphingon, 7.30pm

They play at King George V Playing Fields, Southern Road, EX8 3EE, on a floodlit pitch with covered seating. Call 01395 263348 or contact the club secretary, David Richardson (davidrich43@hotmail.com), for information about this coming season or visit the club website.

And then there is Exmouth Eagles FC that plays in the Exeter & district youth league. They have been promoted to Division 2 for the 2010/11 season and will be playing against Alphington, Crediton Youth, Tedburn, Exeter Panthers, Sidmouth, Pinhoe Panthers, Exwick and Westexe Rangers. Their next game is on 17th August vs Newton Knights. They play on Rolle College Sports Field. They are sponsored by Eagle Investments Ltd, a property letting and management company in Exmouth, Primary Sports and Western Power Distribution. If you are interested in sponsorship or in becoming involved with the team, contact Sophie Carmody, club secretary. Her address is on the club website.

If you need to get kitted out for the new season, the best place to head in town is Sports Direct on Rolle Street, or visit their website to get some ideas before you go!
