When a Devon Air Ambulance Helicopter landed in the London Inn car park in Exmouth on Friday morning, it caused huge intrigue amongst passers-by.

The emergency services were called to the scene after a man was found slumped dead behind the door of a house in Church Street.

Police are treating the death as unexplained and not suspicious. The car park was the closest large piece of clear ground for the helicopter to land safely.

More often seen in Exmouth for search and rescue missions in the sea, Devon Air Ambulance were toasted at a Golden Wedding Party at the Beacon Hotel in Exmouth earlier this month, when guests of Barbara and Brian Hardiman of Brixington Drive donated a total of £410.00.
