Everybody has their own ideas about the community they live in and how it could be improved. But now, if you live in Exmouth, you can voice your opinions... and be heard!

Community workshops, run by local company, LDA Design are to be run before a master plan is drawn up for the town centre. The main areas of interest will be the Royal Avenue and London Inn area.

The coming weeks will see LDA talk to land-owners, lease-holders, key stakeholders and community organisations, as well as local residents, to get a complete view.

For more details, on dates and venues, contact the Exmouth Master plan Help desk on 01395 517416. Alternatively, you can email the helpdesk at emh@eastdevon.gov.uk

Who are LDA funded by then, and how much sway will residents really have in how the look of the town is shaped? Are the town council involved with this as well?  Personally,  I think Exmouth town centre has all the makings of a lovely town but the concrete Magnolia Centre spoils it - that's the area that needs a serious re-vamp, something that would make it look less like post WW2 Coventry... all those grey paving slabs and boring buildings. Anyone ever been to Warsaw? They have a fantastic square that's full of character but it was all constructed after the bombing. Surely Exmouth town centre once looked prettier than it does now? More charming?
