Exmouth Farmers' Market on the move...

EXMOUTH FARMERS' MARKET - held every second Wednesday in the month – is moving to a new (and temporary) home. While The Strand is being redeveloped, the market is relocating to the Imperial Road Car Park. It will return to The Strand once the redevelopment work - expected to last until November - has been completed.

The first Farmers' Market at the Imperial Road site is on Wednesday 10 February, 9.00am-1.30pm. As ever there will be a diverse range of good-quality local produce on offer from friendly stallholders. So if you haven't sampled some of the excellent local food and drink that's on offer at the market, now's the perfect time to give it a try.

And while you're there, look out for the Transition Town Exmouth stall, which this month will be launching its regular seed-swaps service. As well as the seeds, the TTE stall also has hand-made craftwork for sale, along with free leaflets about local environmental issues and an informative newsletter. "We aim to support the Farmers' Market in Exmouth by participating in it, promoting it and encouraging suppliers and customers alike to make more use of it as a sustainable way of delivering food to the residents of Exmouth," says a TTE spokesperson.
