MUSIC JUNKIE: The Bio History of One Man Down

One man down is a 3-piece Rock

band based in Exeter and the South west. The band started out in June 2009

after leaving former band To Be Announced to carry on as a three. The trio is

famous for their covers as well as their originals which they perform unbelievably

well and always get the crowd moving. One man down released their album

Histronix in October 2009, and is currently writing some new material for a

second album. Exeter FM presenter James Santer gave One Man Down the title of

Local band of the week in November 2009 and has said One Man Down are one of

his favorite local bands in late 2009. You can hear them on James Santer’s

radio show, Exeter Select Live Lounge frequently. In December 2009, the band

appointed Ian Douglas as their manager and since then has been booked for over

twenty five gigs in the New Year around the South West. They have also been

offered the opportunity to play in America this August as a support band,

travelling from Miami to Chicago for approximately five weeks. However, this

offer has not yet been finalized and the band is still waiting for confirmation

that the tour is going ahead. But one thing is for sure, One Man Down are

heading to the top and have become very popular in Exmouth and Exeter. They are

definitely a band to look out for.
