Could the Red Arrows become a summer regular for Exmouth?
With summer rapidly approaching, I asked John Wokersien, Exmouth Town Clerk how things were developing.‘We are working on ways to do this. Working with an interested party who has a project in mind – and Dawlish, to see if we can link up with their airshow. So a few irons in the fire and work continuing.’
I hope these amazing plans come to fruition! It would be a major boost for tourism in the area and great to know that the council are right behind the idea, as I know all Exmouth will be.

Why dont we share the day with Dawlish?
We could then have a full display at half the cost?
Alternately the brave men in their flying machines could split in 2 and some planes could fly over Exmouth and some over Dawlais. They could then have a finale where they all meet over the estuary?
How about it Arrows?

PS. Is Phil 'The Power' Taylor one of your pilots?

The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, The Red Arrows, are always a pleasure to watch display. They spend a number of weeks based at Exeter International Airport to cover the South West Displays. With regard to a joint project with Dawlish, this will not work on a same day, same display basis, because the crowd display line is not possible between the two areas. However I do support Exmouth having its own Red Arrows Display on a different day to the Dawlish Airshow. The display line for Exmouth would be spectacular and would pull thousands of visitors to the town. I fully support this new project and hope that a long term plan can be established to bring the Red Arrows to Exmouth, year in, year out.

Another good reason for people to visit Exmouth (and surrounding areas). The Red Arrows are always a great attraction and everybody loves them. Just the sort of thing that the South West needs more of to bring back the families on holiday.
