As efficient as our buses are here in the South East of Devon, you can’t help but love and admire the classic and curvy look of the older 50’s and 60’s buses, that once trundled along the same roads.

If you miss the old Regent Double-deckers complete with conductor, this could be your chance to have a reminisce! Stagecoach along with Teignbridge District Council and The Devon General Society, have teamed up for a one off event on the 25th April between 9.15am to 5.15pm.

A short hop across the estuary to Teignmouth, will see the FREE bus service running to Dawlish and Dawlish Warren. As well as this service, there will be a display of past and present day buses as used on Service 2, which is the Newton Abbot to Exeter route. There will also be sales stands selling transport-related material.

Grab yourself a souvenir timetable and programme at a modest price and jump on board!

For further details, contact: DGS, 33 Broadview, Broadclyst, Exeter EX5 3HA.

Spot-on Pedigree_Chum, the old buses are so much better. I don't have a reason to go to Newton Abbot but it'd be great to see more of these buses over this side of the estuary. When did bus design get so generic?!
