I don't know why anyone bothers to make the effort to go in to Exeter to go to the cinema. Scott cinema in Exmouth has a good selection of new releases, comfortable seats and a nice little bar serving hot chocolate, cups of tea - as well as popcorn, ice cream, sweets and cold drinks. You can avoid big queues here and it just feels like a more intimate experience. The sound isn't always fantastic - films like Avatar and District 9 were a bit disappointing but still definitely better than going in to Exeter!!

Exmouth cinema is pretty good considering it's size and the prices are cheaper than at larger cinemas. They usually have the latest releases and the seats are comfortable. I also find the sound is actually better than at some cinemas (eg. Vue in Exeter where they try to deafen you the volume!) it is at a much better volume at the Exmouth cinema. They only downside is the attitude of some of the staff, they can be quite rude and could do with a lesson in giving service with a smile. Overall a pretty good cinema and an asset to the town.

This cinema has recently revamped and I think they've done a really good job to update it. It may not be the biggest of cinemas with only 3 small screens but it still plays most of the major films and at a fair price. I hope in the future that they'll begin to show 3D films like the other cinemas in Exeter.
