Profile edited 8 December 2010 - Old Exmothians new website http://www.oldexmothians.co.uk I was brought up in Exmouth and went to Exmouth Grammar School 1955-1962. I now live in the NE of England (Whitley Bay) but still have relatives who live in Exmouth. I retain a close interest in the town and the surrounding area and in the local government affairs. The latter is in order to compare what is going on in Exmouth with Whitley Bay which is also a seaside town (but much colder). I maintain 2 websites - "Old Exmothians" - http://www.oldexmothians.co.uk/index.htm and "Smith & Smith Russian Language Services" - http://freespace.virgin.net/smith.robin/index.htm.
Too little local employment for the natives. This means that those that have jobs other than local retail and commercial outlets have to travel to Exeter. This does not encourage a low carbon economy and is expensive for those with young families. I also don't like the reports of drunken behavior in late evenings and early morning despite the claimed lack of an evening ecomomy!
