A children's party has been held in Exmouth to raise donations for the Sarah Jayne Fund. Money raised from the event, which took place in Manor Gardens, will support the family of Geoff Ingram, the skipper of the Sarah Jayne, who died when his trawler sank off Berry Head earlier this month

It WAS a wonderful day mr t! like you say, so sad for the family i hope they got some comfort from the great turnout and they way everyone dug deep to help. i feel so proud of the exmouth people specially the fishermen and other traders who gave all their takings to the sarah jayne fund. i was amazed how quick they got the day together! it is sad it takes a tragedy like this to bring out the best in us but does show exmouth is a town with a big heart!
