I certainly agree with Coastal Mummy about the fish and chips at The Globe Inn. We were recommended to go there and enjoyed it so much that we have returned several times. While you are having a drink in the small bar it is interesting to look at the collection of clocks around the place - quite a surprise the first time you see them. The bar is cozy and the open fire welcoming. Service in the restaurant is helpful and friendly. I recommend that you book a table to avoid disappointment.

ReportWell, this pub gets 10/10 for the fish and chips on a Thursday. I think it's really a winter pub as it's dark and cosy by the fire in the main pub, and if you're lucky, Pasha, a black lab who belongs to a regular, will waddle up and give you a lick! Not many places to sit in the actual bar, but the restaurant is larger than you'd expect, and if you want to eat in the bar, you can. They do nice puddings, too, and I believe the Steak night is also something to try. The landlord is known for sometimes being a bit frosty, but we've always found him pleasant and welcoming. This pub definitely has the feel of an old seadog's pub, being so close to the water at Lympstone. Definitely the best pub in the village.
