His Lordship and myself often bemoan the lack of traditional pubs in Exmouth town centre, but the lucky inhabitants of Withycombe have the Holly Tree. Nothing remarkable about the decor, but it's got a warm, welcoming atmosphere, courteous service and a good range of beers and cider. Well worth the walk on a nice evening.

Sort of my "local" albeit not the nearest pub to home. A great traditional pub., and the place I take a group of four to shoot pool fairly regularly. The table price is a reasonable 50p too - not the ridiculous £1 of some other places i could name... Good landlord/landlady, too. Tend to remember you, even after weeks of absence.

ReportThe Holly Tree is a typical "local". It's the place to go for a chat and a drink with your mates and a quiet (or not so quiet) game of darts or pool. It's a pub full of atmosphere and dark wood, a place to get settled in for the evening and enjoy ambience whether it's a quiet pint you're after or a laugh and a tale or two with a group of friends.
