Oh my God, there was so much hype about this pub opening..
Oh my God, there was so much hype about this pub opening but what a disappointment. In the main bar it's really noisy if it's full - too much wood or something - it makes it all too echoey and you can't hear anything - a bit like being in an All Bar One, if you know what I mean. In terms of eating, there is a bar downstairs which, admittedly, looks cosy, but if you opt to eat upstairs, the atmosphere changes again and I just don't think they got it right. When we ate there, we splashed out on steaks but were really disappointed with both the meat and the vegetables - which were salty and cold. We waited ages for our food, too. I suppose I should go back to see if they've improved their act - but not if I have to part with any cash!
