A curious start to what was a very pleasant lunchtime meal. There was no front-of-house staff to greet us at 1pm, which meant that after nearly five minutes of standing around being completely ignored, we decided to leave. We returned 10 minutes later to give it another try and this time round, we were successful. NIce ambience with a modern cool interior, but background music far too loud. Good food - my partner's steak was terrific and the veg especially so, while my Exe mussels with samphire were delicious. The sweets - warm sticky toffee pud with ice cream and warm rhurbarb crumble with clotted cream - were superb. The service was good, efficient and very attentive. All in all, a good meal and a terrific addition to Exmouth's culinary quarter, but they need to sort out the initial meet and greet, asap.
