Nice to have it back, good quantities, but some quality issues

Good to see that Indian Ocean has returned on Exmouth's Exeter Road. I've recently had two takeaways from here and both have been OK, but nothing special. No complaints about quantities – full marks all round for the generous size of portions. And the food is quite dry, not swimming in oil, which is tremendous. But it's not quite right quality-wise at the moment. In my first meal, my chicken tikka massala had plenty of chicken, but the meat didn't feel as though it had been properly marinated and the sauce wasn't quite right. On the second meal, the tikka chicken off the bone had – unfathomably – extra chillies added, the cheese nan was a bit of a mistake and the tarka dall was over spicy. But overall a promising return for the takeaway. I'll be monitoring it to see if it improves...
