THERE'S ANOTHER chance to plant trees in Exmouth. Following on from last year's successful event – when nearly 70 trees were planted – Transition Town Exmouth is branching out again on Saturday 16 March when more trees will be planted at the site just off Pound Lane...
Flashback: Transition Town Exmouth's tree-planting event in March 2012. The group planted nearly 70 trees and intend to plant more this year
TTE's tree planting day will be open to all members of the public.
"Please bring gloves, boots, forks and /or spades and possibly watering cans!" says TTE's Elinor Scott. "We will also be looking at the trees we planted last year and doing a bit of maintenance. After all the hard work, we will head back to the cafe at Green Fingers for refreshments."
So if you'd like to plant some trees, meet at 11am at the entrance to Green Fingers Garden Centre on Exmouth's Pound Lane. Soup may be provided for free from the garden centre, but this has yet to be confirmed.
